The Staff of the department have been giving academic services to the general public and concerned organizations, through the organizing short training courses, giving lectures on epidemiology of public health problems, prevention and control, research methodology, computer services.
In the comprehensive training for the students of the Faculty of Public Health, which are the 6-week working period of students and staff member for practice of rural health development and health problem solving, the Department staff have been contributing the epidemiologic guidelines for students who are training for such purpose.Graduate Degree Programs Graduate degree programs under the responsibility of Department of Epidemiology, in collaboration with the Faculty of Graduate Studies are:
1. Master of Science (Public Health) program in Infectious Disease and Epidemiology is the joint program between Department of Epidemiology, Department of Microbiology and Department of Parasitology,
Faculty of Public Health. The number of students enrolled each year is 8-10
2. Master of Public Health (Dental Public Health) program is the program under the responsibility of Department of Epidemiology and the Faculty of Public Health. The number of students enrolled each year is 5-10.
3. Doctor of Public Health (Epidemiology) is the program under the responsibility of Department of Epidemiology and the Faculty of Public Health. The number of students enrolled each year is 3-5.
There is also activity in the organization, finance and delivery of personal and public health
